How to Upload Suno Music to DistroKid (2026 Guide)

DistroKid is the most commonly used distributor for AI music creators, and as of 2026 it still accepts Suno-generated tracks — as long as you follow their disclosure rules and deliver a release-ready file.

Here's exactly how to do it, and what trips people up.

Does DistroKid accept Suno music?

Yes. DistroKid's policy allows AI-assisted music as long as you own 100% of the rights and disclose that AI tools were used in creation. You won't find a Suno-specific checkbox, but their general AI disclosure covers it.

The short version: you can upload Suno tracks to DistroKid and distribute them to Spotify, Apple Music, and everywhere else.

What gets tracks rejected or pulled

Most Suno upload problems on DistroKid fall into one of these categories:

1. Failing the AI content declaration DistroKid asks whether AI tools were used in creating the recording. If you say no when they were, that's grounds for removal. Always declare it.

2. Loudness too low Raw Suno exports land around -16 to -22 LUFS. Streaming platforms normalize to -14 LUFS. DistroKid will accept the file, but it'll sound quiet and thin next to other releases. Master it first.

3. Abrupt endings Suno tracks notoriously cut off instead of fading. DistroKid won't reject you for this, but listeners and playlist curators will notice. Fix the ending before uploading.

4. Spectral fingerprint detection Some DistroKid users have reported tracks being flagged after release by downstream content ID systems (not DistroKid itself). This is rare but happens more as detection systems improve. Our Anti-AI processing reduces the detectable fingerprint before you upload.

Step-by-step: uploading a Suno track to DistroKid

Before you upload:

  1. Export from Suno at the highest available quality (WAV if possible, MP3 at 320kbps minimum)
  2. Master the track to -14 to -13 LUFS, true peak -1 dBFS (use our free mastering studio)
  3. Fix any abrupt ending — add a 1-2 second fade
  4. Prepare cover art: at least 3000×3000 px, JPEG or PNG, no text in the bottom 10% (DistroKid crops for display)

In DistroKid:

  1. Log in → Upload → choose Single or Album
  2. Enter track title, select your primary genre
  3. On the "AI" question — select yes, disclose Suno as the tool
  4. For songwriter/composer credits: if you wrote the lyrics or the concept, list yourself. If Suno generated everything including lyrics, the rules get murkier — consult DistroKid's help center for their current guidance on full-AI compositions
  5. Upload the mastered WAV file
  6. Upload cover art
  7. Set your release date (minimum 3-5 days out to allow processing)

What about royalties?

DistroKid keeps its standard percentage. There's no different royalty split for AI music — you keep 100% minus their annual fee.
