How do I master a track?

What's the difference between Wizard (Easy) and Pro mode?

Wizard mode walks you through one clean step at a time and picks the right settings from your goal — best if you just want a great-sounding master fast. Pro mode opens the full console: per-band knobs, all genre presets, meters, and A/B. Switch anytime with the top-right toggle; your choice is remembered.

Which goal should I pick — Better sound or Lower AI-detection score?

Accepted Answer

Pick 'Better sound' for a clean, balanced, distribution-ready master. Pick 'Lower AI-detection score' if reducing AI-detection signals matters most for your release — note that results vary by track. You can always master again with the other goal and compare the before/after scores.

How does the AI Detection Scanner work?

Accepted Answer

Our v18 scanner combines multiple analysis layers — including spectral forensics, generation-artifact cross-referencing, and temporal consistency checks — to produce a single Human / AI probability score. The model is calibrated against Suno and Udio outputs across multiple generations.

Why does my track score differently on other detectors?

Accepted Answer

Every detector uses different features and training data. Our system is tuned specifically for AI music models (Suno v3–v4, Udio). General-purpose detectors trained on speech or older models will give different results. A 'Human' score on one tool and 'AI' on another is completely normal — there is no universal ground truth.

My human-recorded track scores as AI. Why?

False positives happen, especially on highly produced tracks with drum machines, heavily auto-tuned vocals, or very clean studio recordings. Our v18 detector is tuned for near-zero false positives on human music (close to 0% in internal live measurement, 2026-05), but edge cases exist. Why doesn't the detector catch Suno v5 or Udio v2 well?

Newer model versions (v5+) produce significantly different artifacts than the training data our detector was built on. We openly disclose this — internal live measurement (2026-05) shows our v18 scanner catches roughly 66% of Suno v5 and around 3% of Udio v2 tracks. v8 detector research is underway. Honesty matters more to us than inflated claims.

Is the scanner result stored or shared?

No. Scanner results are computed in your browser session and are not stored on our servers. We do not share any audio content or analysis results with third parties.

What's the difference between the 'Before' and 'After' scan?

The 'Before' scan analyzes your original uploaded file. The 'After' scan analyzes the mastered output — useful for seeing how the Anti-AI preset changes the detection score. For the best evasion result, run the Anti-AI preset and check the After score.

What does the Anti-AI preset actually do?

The Anti-AI preset is our AI-music-specialised mastering chain — a multi-stage process that addresses the spectral characteristics typical of AI-generated audio (Suno, Udio etc.), applies clean mastering at −11 LUFS, and embeds an inaudible ultrasonic watermark layer. The result is a distribution-ready master that AI music typically lacks, with the side effect of reducing detector confidence on the models we test against.

What detection reduction can I expect?

Anti-AI Master is first an AI-music-specialised mastering tool — detection-score reduction is a side-effect of how the mastering chain treats AI-music spectral characteristics. Internal live measurement (2026-05) on Suno V3/V4: ~−25 point average drop on our internal v18 detector. Specific external detector case observed: 99→11% (−88 pt). Detector-by-detector variance is large — some external detectors register only a −30~40 pt drop. Suno V5 and Udio leave different fingerprints, so the effect is smaller. Before/After scores are always shown so you can judge for yourself.

Will Anti-AI processing affect my audio quality?

The processing is designed to be transparent. The watermark layer sits above the audible range and is inaudible on most playback systems. The mastering chain uses the same algorithms as our Clean preset. Most listeners cannot distinguish a processed track from the unprocessed original. A/B compare in the studio before downloading.

Does it work on every streaming platform?

The processed master will pass through standard streaming normalization (Spotify −14 LUFS, Apple Music −16 LUFS, YouTube −13 LUFS). The Anti-AI watermark survives platform transcoding in our tests. However, we cannot guarantee behavior on every platform's proprietary detection pipeline, as those are not publicly disclosed.

Why is Anti-AI v7 weaker on newer AI models like Suno v5.5?

Newer generations like Suno v5.5 and Udio v2 leave different spectral fingerprints that our current pipeline doesn't fully address. This is a known limitation we openly disclose. Anti-AI v8 R&D targeting these newer models is in progress. Pro/Studio plan users will receive v8 when it ships at no extra cost.

Preview is always free. Credits never expire on Try / Starter / Creator packs. Monthly plan credits reset each billing cycle.

Yes. Click your avatar in the Studio header → 'Redeem code'. Enter your code in CIEL-XXXX-XXXX format. Credits are added instantly. Monthly redeem codes grant credits every 30 days for the duration of the code.

What's the refund policy?

Unused credits on one-time packs (Starter, Creator Pack) are refundable within 7 days of purchase — contact us via the form below with your PayPal transaction ID. EU/UK consumers have 14 days. Monthly subscriptions (Pro, Studio) can be cancelled anytime; no refund is issued for the current billing period, but you keep all credits until the period ends. Once you download a mastered file, that credit is consumed and not refundable.

Question 19

How do I cancel my monthly subscription?

Sign in, click your profile in the Studio header, open the dropdown, and select Cancel subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep access and remaining credits until then. We don't issue partial refunds for the current period.

Question 20

Are taxes (VAT / GST / sales tax) included in the price?

Accepted Answer

Listed prices are exclusive of any value-added tax, goods-and-services tax, or local sales tax. Where applicable, PayPal collects and remits these at checkout based on your billing address. You'll see the final total including tax on the PayPal payment screen before you confirm.

What happens if the service is down when I try to use it?

We aim for high availability but do not provide a formal SLA. If you experience extended downtime affecting paid usage, contact us and we'll evaluate goodwill credit on a case-by-case basis. Scheduled maintenance is rare and announced via the changelog page.

My payment went through but credits didn't appear. What do I do?

Accepted Answer

Credits are granted within seconds of payment confirmation via webhook. If more than 5 minutes have passed and credits haven't appeared, refresh the page and re-check your credit badge. If still missing, use the Contact form with your PayPal transaction ID and we'll manually credit your account.

Is my payment information stored on your servers?

No. All payments are processed by PayPal. We never see or store your card details. We only receive a notification confirming payment success and the amount.

What file formats can I upload?

We accept WAV, FLAC, MP3, AIFF, and M4A up to 96 kHz sample rate. For best results, upload the highest-quality source you have — uncompressed WAV or FLAC at 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz is ideal. Avoid uploading files that have already been heavily compressed (128 kbps MP3).

What output formats are available?

You can download your master as WAV (16/24/32-bit float), FLAC (16/24-bit), or MP3 (128/192/320 kbps). For distribution, we recommend WAV 24-bit at 48 kHz or FLAC 24-bit. For streaming-only release, MP3 320 kbps is fine.

What LUFS target does Anti-AI Master master to?

The Anti-AI and Clean presets target -11 LUFS integrated (hot, suitable for electronic music distribution). Genre-specific presets (Classical, Acoustic) target -14 LUFS for more dynamic range. You can fine-tune using the Input Gain knob before committing.

Can I master stems separately?

Accepted Answer

Stem mastering is on our roadmap (Studio Premium feature). Currently, the studio processes full mixes only. If you need stem-level control now, master each stem individually and mix down afterward.

Question 28

My track clips after mastering. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

Use the Input Gain knob to lower the pre-master level (try -1 to -3 dB), then re-commit. If clipping persists, the source track itself may already be clipping — master a version with a few dB headroom.

Is my audio stored on your servers?

Accepted Answer

Mastering and Anti-AI processing run entirely in your browser using WebAssembly (ffmpeg.wasm) — your audio file is never persisted on our servers. The AI detection scanner is the one exception: it makes a temporary upload to our analysis service, runs the analysis, and deletes the file immediately. Nothing is logged or reviewed by humans.

What data do you collect when I sign in?

When you sign in with Google, we store your Google account ID, email, display name, and profile photo. We also store your credit balance and transaction history. We do not sell this data to third parties.

How long is my session active?

Accepted Answer

Your session cookie is valid for 30 days. After that, you'll be prompted to sign in again. You can sign out manually at any time via the account dropdown.

Can I delete my account?

Yes. Contact us via the form below and request account deletion. We'll remove all your data (profile, credit history, transaction logs) within 7 business days, except where a legal obligation requires longer retention. Unused credits are non-refundable on deletion unless you're still within the 7-day refund window (or 14 days for EU/UK consumers).
